I'm 24 y/o and usually date men 4-5 years older.I have many liberal social views and can be pretty liberal in the bedroom…but I'm very old fashioned when it comes to dating. I do not agree, for example, that it is appropriate for a guy in a relationship to go to hooters or a stripclub. I just find those locations to be a little trashy and find that men that go to those locations while invovled in a relationship to be a tad disrespectful to their significant others. I'm not going to kid myself and think that men dont look at other women or watch porn….but, for me, that's where the line is drawn. I, for example, have many gay friends and go to many gay bars where there are male strippers. However, when I am in a relationship, I do not go to those bars and instead hang out with my gay male friends in other locations as to not disrespect the person I'm dating.
Many people have told me that I need to find a guy that's christian or religious to fit my bill, but considering that I am not religious myself and have very liberal social views (i.e. acceptance of gays, etc) I don't think that any religious man would necessarily want to be with me.
Anyway, I find many men to be a little too perverted to the point where it just disgusts me….a bit of a strong statement, but while I can be friends with just about any guy, I can barely stand to date any one of them. Any advice? I'm a little lost with the whole dating thing.
I think there are a lot of guys who don't go to strip clubs. Also, when it comes to hooters it seems like most waitress outfits in other places aren't very far off from what the girls at hooters wear so I don't think that one should be an issue.
Honestly though, I've never understood why going to a stripclub is that bad. I mean if it happens all the time I think it's an issue but if it's like a once or twice a year for a bachelor party or hanging out having beers with the guys then it shouldn't be an issue.
