I read it several years ago, so it's from 2004 or older. It was about a Saxon lady who was taken to the Norman leader and forced to marry a Norman noble. The court was shocked because she didn't pick the handsomest man; instead she picked the man who escorted her to the Norman castle. I don't remember much else about it, but I would love to find it again. Do you think you know what it's called?
