Have you heard people say – You can lose someone if they are yours. If they were never yours, you never lost them. Some of us are obsessed with our ex lover and cannot get over it. Letting go of the past is the best thing for you.
Yes it is a loss and you can get depressed. Even going through the break up and after that is a difficult time. It is very traumatic and the pain is very intense as it is a matter of heart.
It does not matter if you still know the person, just let it go. Its your past, get the person out of your mind and heart. Otherwise you are just drowning yourself in sorrow and grief.
Cry all you need to cry. Tears cause a chemical process that allows us to heal our hearts faster. Do not suppress your sorrow and depressed feelings or emotions.
Look for ways to get over the sorrow like God and beliefs. This may make you traditional and superstitious, but its worth trying. Keep your heart open, do not close the doors and keep grieving inside. This way you are making it hard for yourself.
Focus on yourself and not the other person. Pity yourself and find happiness within you. Fill up your loneliness with your activities and work. You have it in you and can make it happen.
You may become successful in blocking your agony for some time, but it may come back to you again. So be prepared and when it comes back, kick it back. Look at the bright side of life and enjoy your current life.
Letting them go is all about Forgiveness. Its easy to forgive, forget and move on rather than be depressed. It does not matter whose fault, just leave the negative feelings you have. Do it for yourself, you are worth it.
