I love it, I am a fan of Oscar Wilde. A lot of his wit made perfect sense.
Apart from the one where he said something like "Women are like gongs, they need to be struck regularly to maintain good working order".
But it is still kind of amusing.

This was about 1899.Women's virginity was in style 100 years ago.So yea, before the pill, men wanted to be the first-est, with the most-est.
And yea, women always want their men to be faithful ! It eliminates the messy use of golf clubs to the head & shoulders of the beloved.

I think most men want to be a woman's ONLY love- as for women (if O. Wilder is right), I think it's kinda stupid wanting to be a man's last romance.
BTW, Oscar Wilder is known as homosexual, so that might color his view on sexuallity. IMO, his writing is overrated, and lots of mumbling garbage.
