Online Dating Personals Experience On Hintcafe.com
I visited hintcafe.com this weekend and signed up to see what was good about the site. The sign up was a snap and the confirmation email was quickly in my email so I could get started. The layout was really simple yet classy. I could easily get to where I wanted to be without combing over the website to find out what to do.
I liked how it seems they monitor their sign-ups’ profiles, as I don’t want a mob of fake naked women or men profiles on there just so they can advertise their own website. They have an option on whether to mark the profiles as appropriate or not, which was good. I also noticed a cool feature relating to calling the person you’re interested in. You can even leave a voice message, which was really helpful, I thought. Of course, they have you validate your phone number just to filter the trouble makers or phonies.
The fact they safeguard your phone number even while letting you talk to other people on the site is great. I feel safer knowing a random stalker isn’t trying to tap my phone or look me up in the white pages. Instead of displaying my real number, they forward the call from the website to my real phone if I choose to make contact with single women from the site.
It seems they also keep on the ball with message spam in your inbox on the website. There’s an option to report spam, delete it, and so on. You can also review your sent messages, which I’ve always liked in-case I really ended up liking the guy and wanted to reread some of the messages that were sent back and forth.
The section about me was simple yet straight forward. I got to upload a few pictures of me from last year’s birthday party, jot down my dream guy’s features, what I’ve previously looked for in men, and my turn on’s and turn off’s. The fact they give you some ideas is cool too, just in case you forgot tall, dark and handsome wasn’t all there was to your dreamy stud.
The “About Me” section seemed to delve deeper into my persona than a few other online dating sites, which I think would help other people evaluate me as someone they are interested in as well as vice versa. I got to write a small note about who I am, what makes me tick, and where I’m headed.
There’s a section for my hobbies, (Of course!) and other interests or projects I’m working on as well as a small section about what I found fun. Don’t know why they separated the two really because I only do hobbies which are fun but maybe it’s just extra space in case you’re into a lot of stuff!
There’s a block to fill in what my friends would say about me if they were filling out that section of the profile but of course, they’d probably write about what a goofball I was! But maybe some guys like that so I think it’s a cute section to include.
You can also scribble in your most embarrassing moment or most extreme experience which is cool, though I don’t know if I’d be willing to write a truly embarrassing moment before we even talked, haha.
All in all, I think if the dating service can get more members to join, I think it’d be worth giving a try but right now, I couldn’t find many in my zip code to chat with. Maybe soon, though! Till next time!
