It is apparent that optimistic thought could be of excellent help if it comes to fat loss. But then, if you keep on thinking negatively, fat loss can be tougher than ever. Let me explain.
You can’t lose weight if you always think you’re fat, simple as that. You may even hate yourself, right? Now think yourself thin, and imagine how it can help you. Your mindset can single-handedly determine your success or failure. It’s all about how to build a positive attitude.
First, remember that negative thoughts are not something you can change overnight. So be patient, the key is one step at a time, slowly but surely.
1. How come do you wish to slim down? Is it because you cannot stand the way other people look at you? Or because these extra pounds keep you from dating? Or simply because you wish to be like your famous idol? Put down every reason you could think about on paper, everything, small or big.
For the best results, buy some stickers and write everything on them, and make some copies, too. Then stick these stickers at each corner of your home so that you’re reminded of your fat loss goals each day. Remember to stick those on your refrigerator and kitchen also: those are where you’re most likely to get tempted to consume the ‘forbidden food’ or ‘cheat’ your dieting plan!
2. Motivation and possible goals. Now it’s time to set up some realistic targets for you. To do that, you have to know your idealistic body weight, then deduct that from your actual body weight. The result you get is the amount of weight you have to drop off to acquire the sort of physique you want.
Now, honestly, you can’t lose more than two pounds a week. Calculate and see how many lbs you can drop off a year from today. Once again, be practical in your goals, because impractical targets serve no purpose.
Next, you have to acquire some motivation. There are a lot of ways to do it. For instance, you may take photographs of yourself periodically to check how long you have been going forward. Or you could find a friend that shares the same targets and work together.
