When we meet someone for a first date, there is a lot of uncertainty. Sometimes it feels awkward meeting someone for a first date, especially a blind date.

If you do, your nervousness will show. Being nervous on a very first date is natural for many people, but we can’t bring our best foot forward when we are nervous.

First tip to overcome nervousness is to think about your date as simply meeting a friend. When we meet someone for the first time whom we have absolutely no romantic interest in, we are a lot more relaxed. We don’t get so uptight because we don’t care as much about the impression we make on this person.

Secondly, dress comfortably. Wear something that you think looks best on you and ask your friends for advice. Sometimes we wear the latest fashion, the most expensive outfits in your wardrobe but they don’t bring out our best features and even make us feel uncomfortable. Wear clothes that fit you right, not something that is two sizes too small.
Smile! Smiling makes the other person feel welcomed. Establish eye contact. Smiling while establishing eye contact will make him feel good and show that you like him. Don’t be afraid to show that you are attracted to him. Men need to see at least the slightest hint that a woman is attracted to him to give him a green light in asking her out on a second date.
