Valentine’s Day is a very important day in a relationship. It is the day where husbands and wives, or two significant others have an opportunity to say “I Love You!” in a special way. This day should definitely be taken with high importance and consideration.
Even women who say they don’t expect any special treatment on Valentine’s Day are hoping to receive a special romantic surprise. They may say this to avoid pressuring you, or to see if you’ll take the initiative on your own for a creative Valentine’s Day surprise. Don’t take her words at face value. If you do, you might find that she is upset and a little hurt. Even if Valentine’s Day seems a bit too mushy for you, take this once-a-year opportunity to show her you care – she’ll be sure to remember your gesture of love.
Every woman loves a romantic surprise. Talk to her boss, and arrange to pick her up early, then spirit her off to a romantic day of Valentine’s Day celebration. She will be smiling from ear to ear when you greet her with a beautiful bouquet of Valentine’s Day flowers.
Plan a getaway with just the two of you. You don’t have to go far; a nice hotel in your town provides a change of scenery and a perfect opportunity for a two-day getaway. Order room service and a bottle of chilled champagne. Many hotels will prepare your romantic getaway by adding romantic details to your hotel suite, like rose petals scattered on the bed cover.
You can also keep things simple. My favorite Valentine’s Day actually started out quite gloomily. I hadn’t heard even a simple “Happy Valentine’s Day” from my husband and was feeling down. Feeling down and depressed, I decided to leave the office early. The look of disappointment on my face must have been obvious.
I decided to go to my favorite local bar for a cocktail. My face lit up in surprise when I entered the bar and found that each table was adorned with a simple red rose and a card that said “Our First Valentine’s Day as Mr. and Mrs…..” I couldn’t hold back the tears, and instantly forgave my husband for his apparent oversight. It turns out that he had planned the entire thing, and our romantic evening continued over a lovely dinner and beautiful views of a romantic sunset.
Planning an unforgettable Valentine’s Day requires a little imagination. Think of ways to surprise her and spice things up with a little mystery. Men have a natural tendency to concentrate on the usual routine. The usual, like candies, Valentines flowers, dinner, and a romantic card are all wonderful, but try them with a new twist. Take her to a fancy restaurant and ask the restaurant to print a special card for your table ahead of time. Whatever you do, surprise is one of the best romantic elements. Even if she presses you for information about your Valentine’s Day plans, don’t give in.
No matter how you spend your Valentine’s Day, remember that is a very important day for couples. Make sure you make your Valentine’s Day a celebration to remember wheter you decide to send flowers Valentine’s Day or not.
